Symposium on Ecclesiology and Ethnography

The Symposium marks the publication of Perspectives on Ecclesiology and Ethnography edited by Pete Ward. The book is the first volume in the new series Studies in Ecclesiology and Ethnography published by Eerdmans.

The symposium will explore the methodological ‘proposal’ that lies at the heart of the volume for a theologically orientated approach to qualitative research on the Christian Church. There will be presentations from lead authors, papers responding to and extending the proposal, and a panel discussion.

A more detailed schedule tba. However, at 4:30 on Monday the 21st there will be a reception to celebrate the publication of the book.

Anticipated Speakers include: Paul Fiddes (Oxford), Chris Scharen (Luther), John Swinton (Aberdeen), and Pete Ward (King’s College, London) among others TBA.
