Frank C. Richardson

Frank C. Richardson is professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas, Austin. His early research focused on cognitive-behavioral approaches to the treatment of stress and anxiety. For two decades his scholarly interests have centered on the philosophy of social science and various topics in theoretical and philosophical psychology. He is past president of the Division of Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology of the American Psychological Association. He has published numerous articles and chapters on such topics as the cultural and moral value underpinnings of modern psychology and psychotherapy, determinism in social science, and hermeneutic approaches to social theory and inquiry.
