Impatient for the release of Hayao Miyazaki’s new film Ponyo on the Cliff? Here’s another reason to be impatient. The great storyteller’s essays, which Twitch tells us have now been translated into English, will be available at bookstores on July 7. You can now pre-order Starting Point: 1979 – 1996:
This is a collection of columns and essays by Miyazaki in which he covers his work in animation, his founding of studio Ghibli, the state of animation worldwide and the creation of many of his masterworks.
