In a not-so-rare move these days, the Son of God took some time off from ignoring the plight of almost one billion starving humans in order to help his main man, Tim Tebow, win yet another football game. In a nail-biter, Jesus (as apparent from the post-game shout-out) gave Tebow just enough divine aid to push the Broncos past the 2-9 Minnesota Vikings. “I’d just like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Tebow proudly proclaimed.

Jesus Saves (particularly in the 4th quarter)

And why not? Though many people in less fortunate situations have lots of questions about God’s active role in a world predicated on parasitic predation and ongoing pain and suffering, affluent athletes always know just where Jesus stands (and it’s not on the sidelines, buddy! Ha!).

Granted, not everyone was delighted by Jesus’s choice to lend Tebow yet another helping hand.

“I thought you weren’t supposed to work on the sabbath?!” protested a few Vikings fans.

Jesus quickly reprimanded them by asking, “Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to alter the outcome of football games or to abstain?”

On a related note, Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder is contemplating switching religions.
