Whether it’s supposed to be ironic, humorous, rooted in nostalgia, or just some strange appeal to whatever holiday spirits these anti-theists can muster, Bad Religion (one of my favorite bands growing up–their pretentiousness, however, was not always healthy for me), is releasing a Christmas album.
Now they have some in common with Christians: the ability to make money off the birth of Jesus. Praise the Lord!
And yet, the a-holes (‘a’ is for atheism–get it? Get it?!) didn’t even have the common courtesy to cover O’ Holy Night.
At least Weezer knew better.
Granted, they do run with Little Drummer Boy, so, yeah . . . I guess I will be purchasing this album after all.
Dammit.
