In view of Peter O’Toole’s announcement of his retirement today, let’s take a moment to appreciate him. There’s still time for him to change his mind. Maybe if he feels the love….

I’m always troubled by the fact that so many great artists never get the chance to see the appreciation people feel for them, and that outpourings of gratitude tend to occur upon the announcement of that person’s death.
