Claire K. McKeever-Burgett reimagines the traditional Christmas Eve liturgy from Mary’s perspective.
Claire K. McKeever-Burgett serves as an assistant theology editor for The Other Journal and is chief of staff for the Nashville Collaborative Counseling Center. She is also ordained clergy; the former host of the award-winning Academy podcast; a leader of contemplative spirituality offerings; a mother; a certified birth and postpartum doula; a yoga, dance, and martial arts instructor; and a partner, lover, and friend. She has written for Weavings, Worship and the Arts, Disciplines, and other publications. McKeever-Burgett holds an MDiv from Vanderbilt Divinity School, and her theological interests include God as deliverer (i.e., the One Who Gives Birth), womanist/feminist theological dialogue, and the unearthing of women’s stories, voices, and experiences from sacred Scripture.
