Photographer Jessina Leonard interviews fellow photographer Aaron Canipe about growing up in a small town in North Carolina, and how his work is informed by the textures in southern landscapes infused with religion.
Jessina Leonard, who is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earned her masters in theology and art from Duke Divinity School in 2015. She currently lives in Durham, North Carolina, where she works as the programs manager at Cassilhaus, a gallery and artist residency program. Leonard also maintains her own studio practice.
