The landscape paintings within this exhibit, which were inspired by artist Paul LaJeunesse’s stay in Iceland, reveal unity and harmony through disparate objects and spaces.
Originally from Saint Peters, Missouri, artist Paul LaJeunesse received his master of fine arts in painting from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, after which he received a Fulbright grant, which allowed him the opportunity to live and paint for nine months in Reykjavik and Siglufjördur, Iceland. He currently teaches at Western Oregon University and exhibits his work internationally, presently with some works on their way to Tokyo, Japan.
