Peter Herman’s depression helps him nurture empathy and compassion with those who suffer most under a racist regime.
Peter Herman holds an MDiv from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York and is a PhD candidate in theological and religious studies at Georgetown University. His work has previously appeared in the Journal of Ecumenical Studies and Implicit Religion. He spends a lot of time trying to balance the righteous outrage of liberation theologies with the peaceful reflection of Quaker spirituality.
